It has been brought to our attention that several client's are experiencing problems when they send e-mails to a BT/Yahoo address.
We have looked into this as far as we can on our end and the problem lies with BT/Yahoo and their mail filtering program called SpamGuard. The e-mails are getting to the e-mail accounts, but SpamGuard is then filtering them out and putting them into a bulk mail folder. This is something that has been in place for several years now, but has started to cause a lot of problems with genuine e-mails as BT/Yahoo users are unaware that genuine e-mails are ending up in their Bulk Mail Folder.
We have done quite a bit of searching online, and sadly there is nothing we can do on our end, as the e-mails are being passed through and accepted by BT/Yahoo mailservers, and it is their program - SpamGuard - that is filtering them out.
This page is on the BT/Yahoo help pages and explains how you can attempt to solve the problem of the e-mails going into the Bulk Mail folder.

You should also ensure that the From e-mail address is in your e-mail address book on webmail so that SpamGuard knows it is a genuine e-mail.
Apart from the advice in this post, we are not able to assist any further on this matter as the problem lies with BT/Yahoo's SpamGuard. If you are still having problems, we suggest you contact BT and speak to them. |
